This popular, one-day course equips medical students of any level with many of the fundamental non-technical skills techniques required for success in academia. 

The STARSurg Research Skills course has been previously delivered to over 500 medical students, and has ran at the Royal College of Surgeons of England, Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland and Belfast, and universities including Edinburgh, Birmingham, and Manchester.

The course covers basic research skills and includes a combination of lectures and interactive small group tutorials on study design. There are basic and advanced courses available to cater to medical students of varying experiences, and all participants are offered a certificate upon completion.
